兵库 六甲山
Mount Ibuki (伊吹山 Ibuki-yama) is the highest peak in Shiga Prefecture at 1,377m, straddling the border of Shiga and Gifu Prefectures. It is one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains and is renowned as a mountain of flowers, with over 1,300 plant species found on its slopes. It is also counted among the “New 100 Famous Flower Mountains.” The trailhead can be accessed by bus from several stations, and during the summer season, buses also run to the summit area.
